These DIY projects can be related to science because the things you use to make your jewelry can be recycled materials which can make your jewelry unique and personalized. It also can be related to math because in order to make the jewelry you must make measurements to make sure it fits right. You can make bracelets, earrings, and necklaces and i think it is a great idea because no one else could have the same jewelry as you. I totally agree! I love making my own jewelry, and when I do it can be just the way I want it to be. When you make your own jewelry, you can express yourself, which I think is a great thing. Like you said with the cost, you can make free jewelry by just finding spare beads and string to use, rather than wasting $20 on a bracelet that you could just easily make yourself.
ReplyDeleteMaking your own jewelry is a smart and easy homemade gift that is so convenient and cute, I don't understand why it isn't more popular than it already is. My next-door neighbor and I used to make the bracelets in the photo with the coke-tabs. One of my favorite past times. Giving the best gifts is not defined by spending the most money, though some people might disagree. There is an old saying that applies to this, "it is the thought that counts." Yes it is cheesy but it is the truth. I loved your blog and can't wait fr more!
